TYD Get Involved
There are a lot of different ways to get involved with the Texas Young Democrats. You can join an existing chapter in your high school, college or county, or if there isn't an existing chapter, you and a couple of friends can start your own. The "Resources" section of this website offers information that can help you get started or grow your existing chapter. Chances are good that between our state leadership, caucus structure, and member chapters, you'll find like-minded people who are committed to the same principles and ideals that you are. A lot of your Executive Board members will tell you that they came for the youth-centered politics and stayed for the long-time friends.
TYD offers numerous opportunities to get the resources and training you need to be an effective leader in your home county. Be sure to check our calendar, as it details local and state activities that you can attend. Whether you're a part of an established chapter with fifty active members or just starting out with five, why not brag on the good work you're doing? Please take a moment to write up successful projects so that other chapters can benefit from your experience. We'll take your articles and publish them in our online newsletter to be distributed to TYD members, as well as supportive Democratic candidates and elected officials around the state. Please click here for submission guidelines. We really look forward to hearing from you!
