The Texas Young Democrats would like to thank former secretary of Housing and Urban Development for the campaign that he ran for President of the United States. As one of two Texans in the race and the only Latino, Secretary Castro brought a unique perspective on our nation's most important issues, including immigration and criminal justice.
The secretary ran a unapologetically progressive campaign which inspired many, especially people of color, to believe in the political process once again.
We thank Julián for his years of public service to Texas and to the United States; we're excited to see what he does in the future.
