On the eve of the election, the Texas Young Democrats released the following statement.
Texas — Tomorrow, Americans across the nation and Texans across the state will go to the polls to cast their ballot. After four years of the disgrace that is the Donald Trump presidency, it is time for us to finally turn the table. And young Americans, specifically young Texans, will elect, not only Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, but MJ Hegar, Chrysta Castañeda, a Democratic House and Senate, and a Democratic State Supreme Court and State House.
Over one million Texans under the age of 30 voted early, a historic turnout for young Texans. And we aren't done yet. Tomorrow, we will prove the skeptics wrong: Young people are not apathetic, misinformed, or absent. We show up, we engage, and we know what's at stake.
Texas is the biggest battleground state in the nation and tomorrow, thanks to y'all, we will flip the Lone Star State blue.
