Austin — Today, the Texas Young Democrats are proud to announce their endorsement of Dr. Eliz Markowitz for Texas House District 28 in the November 5th, 2019 special election.
The Texas Young Democrats are the largest partisan youth organization in the state of Texas, empowering and electing the next generation of civic leaders in the Lone Star State.
“Texas is the nation’s biggest battleground state. One of the highest priorities of our organization is to build a bench of local, state, and national officials who can take back the Texas House, send even more Democrats to the U.S. Congress, and elect the next Democratic President in 2020,” said TYD President Kolby Duhon.
“That work begins here, in this race. Texans deserve someone who will fight to improve the lives of their children and the most vulnerable. With her expertise in health care and education and with her centering of the issues of youth voters and marginalized communities, Dr. Eliz Markowitz is the ideal candidate to represent her community in District 28,” President Duhon continued.
